Taba Warmblood Stud

Taba Warmblood Stud was established in 1997 with the idea of staying involved with horses as I could no longer ride due to a chronic illness. I bought some thoroughbred mares, with good pedigree, conformation and temperament. I then covered them with the best imported Warmblood stallions in the country. My aim was to breed a good or better sport horse.

In time I acquired a Hanoverian stallion bred by Dr. Spaeth from Seeis Stud in Namibia out of an imported stallion Doleriet and Antonia out of an imported stallion Anschluss . What impressed me the most of Seeis Dollar, my stallion, was the temperament, well put together and his bones. Breeding with thoroughbred mares I needed to improve on temperament and size of bone.

Taba Warmblood Stud is a small stud with the aim on breeding for the individual. I am very strict in choosing pedigree to breed with. Taba Studís mares carry proven jumping and dressage lines and I only breed every 2 years with my own mares. Preferably when I have a booking from a client for a foal. I do not believe in breeding quantity as there are not many riders aimed at riding competitively in South Africa.
